ปฏิเสธไม่ได้นะครับว่า Warcraft เป็นเกมที่สร้างชื่อให้กับ Blizzard เป็นอย่างมาก ถึงแม้ว่าจะมีเกมอย่าง Starcraft ที่สร้างชื่อเสียงให้ไม่แพ้กัน แต่เกมอย่าง Warcraft 3 น่าจะเป็นเกมที่ทำให้หลาย ๆ คนรู้จักกับค่ายนี้ และยังไม่พูดถึง World of Warcraft ที่ผมคิดว่าน่าจะเป็นปรากฏการณ์อย่างนึงของเกมเมอร์ MMORPG ในยุคนั้นเลยล่ะnnในยุคนี้มีค่ายเกมต่าง ๆ มักจะหยิบเอาเกมเก่า ๆ ของตัวเองมาปัดฝุ่น พร้อมวางขายในแบบ Remake และ Remaster อยู่ให้เห็นกันตลอด ๆ Blizzard เองก็นำเอา Starcraft ภาคแรกมา Remaster กันไปแล้ว แถมยังเอา World of Warcraft มาเปิดให้บริการใหม่แบบ Classic Server กันอีกด้วย แน่นอนว่าถึงเวลาของ Warcraft 3 แล้วที่ควรจะมีการ Remake หรือ Remaster กับเขาบ้าง และในงาน BlizzCon 2018 เราก็ได้เห็นการมาของ “Warcraft 3: Reforged” หรือมันก็คือ Warcraft 3 Remaster เรียกได้ว่าทำเอาแฟน ๆ อย่างผมถึงกับดีใจจนแทบอยากจะกระโดดออกนอกหน้าต่างเลยทีเดียวnและเมื่อถึงวันที่ตัวเกมจำหน่าย Blizzard กลับทำไม่ได้ตามที่เคยพูดเอาไว้ เพราะคุณภาพของ Warcraft 3: Reforged มันแย่มาก ๆ เลยล่ะnWarcraft 3: Reforged ในตอนที่เปิดตัวเมื่องาน BlizzCon 2018 นั้น เราจะได้เห็นถึงความสุดยอดของตัวเกม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นทั้งเรื่องของกราฟิก UI Interface หรือ Cutscreen ที่ยกเครื่องใหม่ทั้งหมด มีการนำเอา Campaign ของทั้งภาค Reign of Chaos และ The Frozen Throne มารวมไว้ด้วยกัน พร้อมกับสนับสนุนระบบออนไลน์สมัยใหม่อย่างเต็มที่ผ่าน Battle.net เรียกได้ว่ามันสร้างกระแสตอบรับที่ดีจากแฟน ๆ ได้เป็นอย่างดี อีกทั้งยังถูกมองว่ามันแทบจะเป็นการ Remake ตัวเกมมากกว่า Remaster เสียด้วยซ้ำไปnnแต่เมื่อถึงวันที่วางจำหน่าย แฟน ๆ ต่างก็ผิดหวัง บางคนถึงกับคลั่งไปเลย เนื่องจากว่าตัวเกมนั้นมีคุณภาพที่แย่มาก ๆ Warcraft 3: Reforged กลายเป็น Warcraft 3 ธรรมดา ๆ ที่ไม่ได้มีอะไรปรับปรุงใหม่เลยนอกจากกราฟิก แถมยังมีการตัดลดฟีเจอร์บางอย่างจากตัวเกมต้นฉบับไปอีกด้วย และที่น่าเกลียดที่สุดเลยก็คือ ใครที่มีตัวเกมเวอร์ชั่นต้นฉบับอยู่แล้วนั้น จะถูกบังคับให้ Update เป็นเวอร์ชั่นใหม่แบบภาค Reforged แต่ไม่สามารถเปลี่ยนกราฟิกให้กลายเป็นแบบใหม่ได้ อีกทั้งยังถูกตัดลดฟีเจอร์ไป ไม่สามารถเข้าถึงมันได้แบบตัวเกมต้นฉบับอีกด้วยnกรณีนี้คล้าย ๆ กับ World of Warcraft ครับ ที่ผู้เล่นทั้งหมดไม่ว่าจะมีใครซื้อ Expansion ตัวไหนหรือไม่ ก็จะใช้ Client เดียวกัน แต่สิ่งที่แตกต่างกันไปสำหรับคนที่ทั้งซื้อและไม่ซื้อ Expansion ก็จะมีจะสิทธิเข้าถึง Content ที่แตกต่างกันออกไป ในกรณี Warcraft 3: Reforged คนที่มี Classic อยู่แล้วจะถูกจำกัดการเข้าถึงกราฟิกแบบใหม่นั้นเองครับ แต่เรื่องที่เป็นปัญหามันไม่ใช่กราฟิกหรอก แต่เรากำลังพูดถึง Client ดั้งเดิมแบบที่พวกเขาคุ้นเคย ไม่ใช่การบังคับ Update และบีบให้ซื้อภาค Reforged แบบนี้nnนอกจากนี้ตัวเกมก็ยังมี UI Interface, Cutscreen ที่เหมือนเดิมยกแผงเลยทีเดียว เรียกได้ว่าไม่มีการปรับปรุงอะไรทั้งสิ้น ของเก่าเป็นแบบไหน ของใหม่ก็ยังเป็นแบบนั้น เมื่อไม่นานมานี้มีคลิปออกมาตาม Youtube มากมาย แสดงให้เราเห็นว่า Warcraft 3: Reforged นั้นมันแย่แค่ไหน รวมไปถึงอนิเมชันของยูนิตต่าง ๆ ที่ถูก Lock ไว้ที่ 30FPS โดยไม่สนว่าเราจะมี Frame Rate สูงขนาดไหน ทำให้ภาพที่ออกมามันดูแย่มาก ๆnnหน้าตาของ World Editornเรื่องต่อมาที่เราจะพูดถึงก็คือ Custom Map ครับ แน่นอนว่ามันยังคงมีอยู่ใน Reforged แต่สิ่งหนึ่งที่แตกต่างไปจากต้นฉบับก็คือ ต่อไปนี้ ผลงานทั้งหมดที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นมาจาก World Editor นั้นจะกลายเป็นทรัพย์สินของ Blizzard ทันที นั้นหมายความว่า Blizzard จะสามารถนำเอา Map ที่เราสร้างไว้ไปใช้ได้โดยที่ไม่ต้องชดเชยอะไรให้เราเลย !! ซึ่งเรื่องนี้ส่งผลเป็นอย่างมากนะครับ หากยังจำกันได้ Defence of the Ancients หรือ DotA เป็น Custom Map ที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นมาจาก World Editor การทำแบบนี้อาจจะเป็นการทำลายสังคมนักสร้างแผนที่ไปเลยก็ได้nnมาพูดถึงระบบออนไลน์ ที่ถูกตัดฟีเจอร์ออกไปเยอะมาก ๆ ซึ่งไม่นานมานี้มีผู้ใช้ Reddit รายนึงออกมาพูดถึงระบบออนไลน์เวอร์ชันใหม่ของ Reforged ที่ถูกตัดฟีเจอร์ออกไปจากตัวเกมต้นฉบับ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเรื่อง Profile ที่หายไป ไม่มีระบบ Clan ไม่มี Channel สำหรับแชทแบบกลุ่ม ไม่มีรูปภาพเคลื่อนไหวในโปรไฟล์ของ Bnet ไม่มี Leaderboard และอื่น ๆ อีกมากมายnnจนตอนนี้นั้น ในเว็บไซต์ metacritic คะแนน User Score ของ Warcraft 3: Reforged ตกไปอยู่ที่ 1.0 คะแนนแล้ว ซึ่งมันน้อยยิ่งกว่าเกมอย่าง FALLOUT 76 ที่ 2.7 คะแนน หรือ Ride to Hell: Retribution 1.3 คะแนนเสียอีก โดย Comment เด็ด ๆ เลยก็น่าจะเป็นการที่ตัวเกมถูกวิจารณ์ว่าเป็นเพียงแค่ Warcraft 3 ที่ถูกใส่ Mod Graphics เข้ามาก็เท่านั้น แถมยังตัดฟีเจอร์ของระบบออนไลน์แบบเดิม ที่มันดีกว่าแบบใหม่ไปอีกด้วย บ้างก็ตั้งชื่อเกมใหม่ให้เลยว่า Warcraft 3: Refunded เพราะทาง Blizzard เองก็ไม่ยอบรับเรื่องการขอคืนเงินแต่อย่างได และไม่มีท่าทีเคลื่อนไหวอะไรทั้งสิ้นครับnหวังว่า Blizzard คงไม่กลายเป็นแบบ Arthas หรอกนะ …nจริง ๆ แล้วในฐานะที่ผมเองก็เป็นทั้งแฟน Blizzard และแฟน Warcraft คนหนึ่ง ผมบอกเลยว่าตัวผมหมดศรัทธาไปกับค่ายนี้ตั้งแต่ Diablo Immortal แล้วล่ะครับ และยิ่งพักหลัง ๆ มาเองเกมของ Blizzard นั้นมีคุณภาพแย่ลงทุกวัน อย่างเช่นภาคเสริมล่าสุดของ WoW เองอย่าง Battle for Azeroth ที่คุณภาพไม่ดีสักเท่าไร หรือการมาของ Overwatch 2 ที่ผมมองว่ามันเป็นเรื่องไร้สาระมาก ๆ และยังไม่นับดราม่าเรื่องอื่น ๆ ที่เราได้เห็นกันอยู่ตลอด ถึงแม้ว่าจะมีภาคเสริม WoW ตัวใหม่อย่าง Shadowlands และ Diablo 4 ที่กำลังจะออก ตัวผมเองก็ขออยู่ห่าง ๆ ค่ายนี้ไว้จนกว่าจะเห็นกระแสตอบรับ อย่างเช่น Warcraft 3: Reforged นี่ล่ะครับn "。
