กว่าจะมาเป็น OG ใน TI8nซึ่งประวัติความเป็นมาของทีม OG ก็ Dark ยิ่งกว่าจักรวาล DC เสียอีก โดยมีเหตุการณ์ต่อเนื่องมาตั้งแต่ช่วงก่อนงาน China Super Major เลยทีเดียว เริ่มตั้งแต่ 2 เพื่อนร่วมทีม + 1 ในนั้นเป็นผู้ร่วมก่อตั้ง อย่าง Fly และ Cr1t ได้ทำการถอนตัวออกจากทีมกลางคันก่อนเริ่มการแข่งขัน China Super Major เพียงแค่ 1 วันเพื่อย้ายไปทีม EG หรือ evil geniuses ส่งผลให้ทีม OG ต้องถูกปรับออกจากการเข้าร่วมรายการเพราะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงผู้เล่นระหว่างนั้น ซึ่งแน่นอนว่าทางทีม OG ก็จำเป็นต้องหาผู้เล่นที่จะมาแทนทั้ง 2 คน รวมไปถึงอีก 1 คนที่ออกไปก่อนหน้านี้อย่าง Resolution ก็จำเป็นที่จะต้องเสาะหาผู้เล่นที่จะมาเข้าร่วมอย่างดีที่สุดnซึ่งในระหว่างนั้นเอง BigdaddyNotail ก็ได้ติดต่อไปยัง Topson 1 ในผู้เล่นระดับ Top จากประเทศฟินแลนด์ที่เคยติด Top MMR ฝั่ง EU และไม่เคยเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน TI มาก่อน หลังจากตกลงกันได้ (ด้วยค่าตัว 3,000$) ก็ได้เข้ามาร่วมทีมในฐานะ Midlaner ให้กับทีม OG ซึ่งทาง Notail ก็แอบบอกว่าแอบหนักใจอยู่พอสมควรในตอนแรก และยังมี Ana 1 อดีตผู้เล่น Midlaner อันดับต้น ๆ ของโลกที่ได้ลาวงการไป 1 ปีเนื่องจากปัญหาดราม่าหลายอย่างโดยเฉพาะเรื่องเงิน ๆ ทอง ๆ ก็กลับเข้ามาร่วมทีม OG ในปีนี้ และสุดท้ายคือ 7mad (หรือ Cep) ผู้ที่หลาย ๆ คนที่ติดตามทีม OG มาบ้างก็น่าจะพอทราบกันดีว่า เขาอยู่ในฐานะตัวสำรองและโค้ชให้กับทีม OG ก็ต้องถูกบังคับเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้ด้วยnซึ่งในระหว่างรอบคัดเลือก ทีม OG ก็ไม่ได้มีความเก่งกาจมากเท่าไรนัก ทั้ง Teamwork ที่ไม่ค่อยเข้าขา การเดินเกมที่ไม่โดดเด่น ทำให้หลาย ๆ คนคิดว่าทีม OG ไม่น่าจะผ่านเข้ารอบลึก ๆ ของการแข่งขัน The International 8 นี้ไปได้ ถูกมองเป็นทีม Underdog มาโดยตลอดจนกระทั่งเหตุการณ์หนึ่งได้เกิดขึ้น…nแต่แล้วหลายคนก็คิดผิด จากการแข่งขันระหว่างทีม EG และ OG น่าจะเป็นจุดกำเนิดของ Sith Lord Notail ผู้ซึ่งถูก Fly และ Cr1t ทอดทิ้ง จากคนที่ปกติยิ้มแย้มตลอด กลายเป็นคนหน้าตึงแบบขั้นสุด ซึ่งในระหว่างการแข่งขันของทั้ง 2 ทีม เหมือนกับว่าอยู่ดี ๆ ทีม OG ทั้งทีมก็ได้ปรับจูนการเล่นจนสามารถเล่นกันได้เข้าขาแบบสุด ๆ และสามารถคว้าชัยชนะจากทีม EG ไปได้ 2 – 1 เกม เข้าสู่รอบชิงชนะเลิศไปก่อน ส่วนทีม EG ตกรอบไปเจอกับทีม PSG.LGD และในตอนท้ายของการแข่งขัน ทั้ง 2 ทีมที่เดินเข้ามาจับมือกัน น่าจะเป็นครั้งแรกที่เราได้เห็นการจับมือที่ตึงเครียดขนาดนี้ก็เป็นได้nnและยังมีฉากหลังม่านที่ Cr1t เดินกระแทกไหล่ Notail ตอนระหว่างให้สัมภาษณ์อยู่ด้วยnnนี่ถ้าเทียบกับภาพยนตร์ ก็อาจเปรียบเสมือนจักรวาล DC ที่มีโทนดำมืดแบบสุด ๆ เลยก็ว่าได้…nEG ต้านไม่ไหว พ่าย PSG.LGD 2 – 0nซึ่งหลังจากทีม OG ชนะทีม EG ไปได้แล้วนั้น ทีม EG ก็จะต้องไปพบกับทีม PSG.LGD ซึ่งเป็นศึกแรกในวันสุดท้ายของรายการ TI8 ที่หลาย ๆ คนก็คาดว่าทีม EG จะสามารถดึงพลังแฝงออกมาและคว้าชัยชนะ เพื่อกลับไปลุยศึก Batman vs Superman… เอ้ย EG VS OG แต่ทีม EG ก็ไม่สามารถเอาชนะความเป๊ะในด้านการดราฟและการเล่นของทีม PSG.LGD ไปได้ และพ่ายไป 2 – 0 เกม ทำให้หลาย ๆ คนคาดว่า LGD ปีนี้มาแน่เพราะทีม EG สามารถต่อสู้กับทีม OG ได้อย่างสูสีมาก ๆnnเกมสุดท้ายสุดมันส์ OG VS PSG.LGDnหลังจากนั้นก็เป็นศึกสุดท้ายระหว่างทีม OG กับ PSG.LGD เพื่อหาผู้ชนะนั้นเป็นอีก 1 ศึกที่หลาย ๆ คนตั้งตารอคอย (แต่ส่วนใหญ่อยากให้ EG กลับมาสู้กับ OG ในรอบสุดท้ายมากกว่า) ซึ่งการแข่งขันของคู่นี้เป็นไปด้วยความดุเดือดตั้งแต่รอบแรก โดยทีม OG สามารถคว้าชัยชนะจาก PSG.LGD ไปได้ก่อนในเกมแรกอย่างสูสี แต่ด้วยพลังนินจานารูโตะ Phantom Lancer แยกร่างทุก ๆ 3 วิ ทำให้ทีม PSG.LGD พ่ายไปก่อนในเกมแรก แต่พอเข้าสู่ช่วงเกมที่ 2 ทาง PSG.LGD ได้ทำการดราฟ Hero ออกมาอย่างเหนือชั้น สามารถไล่กดดันทีม OG และคว้าชัยชนะไปได้ รวมไปถึงเกมที่ 3 ก็สามารถดราฟได้อย่างเหนือชั้นอีกครั้งและเอาชนะไปอย่างขาดลอย จนใครหลาย ๆ คนคิดว่าน่าจะจบที่ 3 – 1 แต่แล้วเกมที่ 4 ทาง OG ก็ดราฟเหนือความคาดหมายโดยเลือกตัว Hero Off-meta อย่าง Axe มาอยู่ Offlane สู้กับทาง Brewmaster ซึ่งแน่นอนว่าไม่สามารถกดดันได้ จน Axe ของและเงินนำในช่วงต้นเกม และทำการเดินเกมกดดันพร้อมเข้าสู้กับทีม PSG.LGD ได้อย่างดุเดือด ซึ่งเป็นเกมที่มีการฆ่ากันกว่า 100+ ตัวเลยทีเดียว !!
