ทว่าเนื้อหาของเกมก็ยังคงดัดแปลงออกมาให้ดูดิบเถื่อนและดูดีไม่น้อยเหมือนกัน ทั้งบรรยากาศของเมืองในสภาวะสงคราม ถ้ำลึกที่เต็มไปด้วยความลึกลับและเหล่าปีศาจหลายชนิด รวมกับเสียงเพลงประกอบที่เร้าอารมณ์ ทำให้การต่อกรกับศัตรูทั้งแบบธรรมดาและบอสต่าง ๆ นั้นสนุกเร้าใจขึ้นไปอีกnระบบการสร้างตัวละครนั้นทำได้ดีเยี่ยมสมกับฝีมือของ Koei Tecmo เราสามารถปรับได้ทั้งโครงหน้า สีผมว่าจะมี Highlight แบบไหน โครงสร้างร่างกาย และอีกมากมาย อยากจะจัดให้สวยหล่อหรือน่าเกลียดแค่ไหนก็ทำได้ตามใจชอบเลยnnส่วนความยากนั้นก็ยากสมกับเป็นเกมแนว Souls Like จริงๆ แม้แต่ศัตรูธรรมดาในเกมนี้ก็ยังตีแรงจนเราตายได้ในไม่กี่ครั้ง แถมพวกมันบางตัวยังมีมุกกินศพเพื่อนแล้วแปลงร่าง หรือดักรอตีเราแล้วแปลงร่าง กลายเป็นปัญหาใหญ่ที่ต้องแก้ไขให้ได้อีก และนี่ยังไม่รวมการออกแบบฉากที่กวนประสาท พาเราไปตายง่ายๆ แบบไม่รู้ตัวอีกเพียบ เรียกว่าสมเป็นเกมที่จะทำให้ทุกคนหัวร้อนแบบไม่มีเกรงอกเกรงใจกันเลยnน่าเสียดายนิดหน่อยที่แม้ตัวเกมจะทำระบบช่วยนำทางมาให้ในระดับหนึ่งแล้ว แต่ส่วนตัวก็ยังรู้สึกว่ามันน่าจะทำให้ใช้งานได้สะดวกกว่านี้เสียหน่อยก็ไม่น่าเสียหายอะไรก็น่าจะดี แต่โดยรวมจริงๆ ก็อยู่เกณฑ์ที่ดีมากแล้วnGameplaynnหัวใจสำคัญของเกมนี้ก็คือ Gameplay ที่ดัดแปลงจากเกมแนว Action RPG ที่มีอยู่ในท้องตลาดได้เนอย่างดี ความคล่องตัวของผู้เล่นขึ้นอยู่กับอาวุธที่ใช้ โดยจะมีอายู่ให้มากมายเช่นดาบคาตานะ โอดาฉิ ดาบคู่ หอก ทอนฟา ตะขอ ขวาน ปืน ธนู และอีกมากมาย ซึ่งอาวุธไหนยิ่งใช้งานบ่อย ก็จะได้รับ Skill Point มาอัปเกรดให้ทรงพลังมากขึ้น แต่ก็ต้องสับเปลี่ยนใช้งานอาวุธในแต่ละแบบด้วยเพื่อรับแต้มที่มากกว่าเดิม เหมือนกับว่าตัวเกมจะบังคับให้ผู้เล่นหาอาวุธเปลี่ยนอยู่เรื่อย เพื่ออัปเกรดตัวเอง ซึ่งก็ถือว่าเข้าท่าเหมือนกัน เพราะอาวุธใหม่ในเกมนี้หาไม่ยาก แค่อาจมีค่าพลังที่ขัดใจบ้างเล็กน้อยnระบบการพัฒนาตัวละครจำเป็นต้องใช้แต้ม Amrita ที่ได้จากการฆ่าศัตรู เมื่อเราตาย แต้มทั้งหมดจะหล่นออกจากตัวให้ไปเก็บ แต่ถ้าหากตายอีกรอบก่อนได้เก็บ แต้มเหล่านี้ก็จะหายไป รวมไปถึง Soul Core ที่หามาได้ด้วย(แต่อาวุธจะไม่หล่น) ซึ่งการหาจังหวะปราบศัตรูแล้วเอาแต้มอัปเกรดที่ศาลเจ้านั้นก็เป็นสิ่งที่ท้าทายผู้เล่นอยู่ไม่น้อย แถมศัตรูในเกมนี้ก็แกร่งทุกตัว ทำให้เราต้องเล่นอย่างใจเย็น หากใจร้อนก็มีแต่ทำให้ตัวเองตายเปล่า การบริการแต้มเหล่านี้ด้วยฝีมือของตนเองจึงจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งnnส่วนอาวุธที่หามาได้นั้น ถ้าไม่ได้ใช้ก็สามารถนำไปทำได้หลายอย่าง ทั้งขายเอาเงิน แยกเอาแต่วัตถุดิบเพื่อทำขึ้นมาใหม่ อาบพลังเวทย์ หรือมอบให้ศาลเจ้าเอาเงินพิเศษมาแลกของช่วยเล่นได้ และนอกจากนั้นก็จะมี Souls Core ที่ผู้เล่นเอาไว้อัปเกรดเพิ่มค่าพลังและเป็นไม้ตายพิเศษให้ได้ใช้งานยามขับคันได้ด้วย แม้ท่าเหล่านี้จะออกได้ช้า แต่ก็มีความรุนแรงในระดับสูงมากเช่นกันnอีกอย่างหนึ่งที่ลืมไปไม่ได้คือระบบสัตว์ผู้พิทักษ์ที่เราสามารถเลือกได้ว่าจะให้ใครมาเป็นผู้พิทักษ์ ซึ่งสัตว์พิทักษ์แต่ละตัวก็มีคุณสมบัติต่างกันไป
